HotShots Basketball

The HotShot leagues are for boys and girls 18 months-12 years old. This league teaches teamwork and fair competition. Players are placed on teams through a draft process. Each participant plays at least one half of every game. During practices our volunteer coaches teach the players how to properly execute the fundamentals of basketball such as: defense, shooting, passing and rebounding. All participants receive a HotShots uniform and trophy. There is a three game tournament at the end of each season.

Little HotShots
This is a basketball league for boys & girls 3-4 years old. Each year we have over 100 children who come to learn, play and have fun in the Little HotShots Basketball League. The goal is to teach parents how to introduce their children to team sports in a positive & fun way.

The players practice 30 min. before each game. During the practices, the children are rewarded for learning new skills. The children take the skills that they learn in practice

such as, passing, defense and dribbling and apply them during the actual game. It is not important for a child to master each skill (Although many do). Our goal is to help the children learn to follow the directions of the coach and to understand the basics of each skill while having fun. HotShots is one of the first leagues in the nation to successfully run a basketball league for 3-4 year old children.
Toddler Shots
Toddler Shots is a unique and pioneering sports program. We are one of the first leagues in the nation to specialize and have success in a sports and fitness program for children 18 mo – 2 year olds.

Toddlers is a parent participatory league. The parents actually practice with their children. The Toddlers League teaches parents how to prepare their children for organized team sports. We teach children to play and interact properly with individuals and a team. One of our goals is to teach children to play with each other in a positive way while learning the game of basketball. It is also our goal to show parents how to introduce their children to team sports in a positive and effective way.

In the beginning of the session we teach children the basics of basketball. Mid-way through the session, the children actually play non-competitive games. Fitness is another important aspect of the Toddlers sports leagues. Before each session the children participate in a warm-up and fitness routine that is adapted for preschoolers.
